Quick question for readers of The Poisoned Barb's tale! The next chapter is almost done with the editing step! Something has come to my realization though...

Ladies and Gentlecolts, I present the longest chapter I have ever written. >17000 word were put into this one. Prepare for adventure, feels, and nightmares.
So I finally finished the rough draft of Chapter 4 of Ballad of the Dawn. Honestly, it was a hard chapter to get through because, A) I needed to get someplace in the story in that chapter and B) there's a lot of character introductions to pad out their arrival to the story destination. It took me almost all month to finish the dang thing, and I'm finally where I want to be.
This took longer than expected. I'm sorry for the delayed update, but the chapter I've been working on kept going. I think it went pretty well with all the events that unfolded in it. Will it be rough to follow? Likely with how we jump from one thing to another really fast, but progression after this will be much more manageable due to being more focused. That being said, I will be writing the other chapter for the next few days. I will have to look through chapter five, so expect that to be
I see other authors break up large chapters into multiple parts but I never really got why. Currently chapter 19 of Broken then Healed is at 7000+ words and looks like hitting 10k is not out of reason. Is that too much? I can cut it in half or well two pieces but honestly the chapter doesn't really feel done at that point.
Hello, everyone! Just wanted to update you on Chapter fifteen and some more things! I've decided to release it once I've reached twenty thousand words and I am currently at fifteen thousand three hundred seventy two. That's a new record for my longest chapter, which was six thousand for fanfictions and four thousand for my original works!
That's right, it's a new chapter of The Pros and Cons of Working Over Time. I already wrote most of what I was going to write in the blog post, in the chapter footer. But ah well.
Sorry for the long wait... the last few months have been really rough... but there's more Enemy of Mine to be had! I've just updated, and there's 20,000 some new words for you all to enjoy! I have 15,000 that need editing, plus a little more, but otherwise, I've got a backload of stuff.
I'll try to not be so slow with updates... I certainly hate that too. Ugh. So very sorry.
...and a 14k chapter appears...! Literally by accident! I thought it was going to be shorter, but the damn story outline kinda made that hard to do.
I honestly want to be less verbose...
It looks like there's gonna be 54 chapters of FA. In order to avoid posting a 20k chapter, chapter 43 will be split into two - one of which is about 17k and the other should be about 5k. The first should be out soon-ish.

That aside, there's a new update for my 'verse. After a talk with a faget, I've decided to take off the AU tag from all my Iceverse stories.

First, I'd like to say that yes, it has been a while. The last time I uploaded a chapter was two weeks ago. I have been pretty busy with university work and friendships. Believe it or not, I am still standing after five friendships falling apart and three final papers being thrown at me.

Chapter 10: A New Low, A New High is now posted! I'm so happy that this chapter is done and we're getting so close to the end~ 
Currently, I don't know exactly how long the story will be since I still have a lot of ideas, but the original plan was 14 and I think it will still be around that number~ I will tell everyone if there is a new length when it comes around. It should be between 13 and 20.

The rewrite of chapter "Unforgotten" is currently standing at roughly 2,600 words and counting, and I still don't consider it finished. This was originally supposed to be one of the final chapters of Part 2, providing plenty of new information to the readers to ease them into new conflicts in Part 3.
And I guess avoiding straight-up infodumping and instead writing it all into the story arc is just gonna balloon the chapter into the longest one yet in the Pony-Me universe.

Hooray, another update blog! So it's Easter for a lot of people. That's nice. Whatever. I don't celebrate Easter, I write words and that is what this blog is about. More of the Demon Racist shorts have been posted in my anthology thing that's tagged, for the people who've been reading FA and want some lore stuff until the next chapter update.
